ABOUT

Peace, I'm Faheemah
also known as Griot Bae. This space is a sanctuary I've created to help Black folks tend to our inner gardens. Each of us is both a temple and a garden, requiring regular spiritual maintenance to sustain and expand into what we're destined to become.
My journey is deeply rooted in both teaching and learning, guided by the wisdom of my Spiritual Traditions. At the core of my mission is the unwavering commitment to remove the clutter that blocks Black people from accessing all parts of ourselves. I embody many roles: Africana Spiritualist, Two-Headed Doctor, Community Organizer, Writer, Author, Editor, and the list goes on. Like the Black Women before me, I am a multitude, living and loving at multiple intersections. My work prioritizes Black Women and Black Girls because when we are free, everyone will be free. Word to the Combahee River Collective.
This space is where all strands of my work converge, a place for you to engage with all facets of my offerings. Here, you'll find my books, editorial services, how to book me for speaking engagements, writing commissions, my Patreon, and 'We Be Writing', the community I built to amplify the voices of Black self-published authors.
While this platform is an open invitation to all Black people, it's also a space of deep unpacking and accountability which is necessary for us to cohabitate in harmony. We're here to decolonize our minds, re-indigenize our lives, tell our stories, and fight for freedom.
Welcome to my garden, where my worlds meet. I pray you get what you came for.
